Streetwise Cycling (4.5 hours)
This fun, practical and hands-on course is for anyone who’d like to be more comfortable riding in traffic. Through classroom and on-road training you'll learn about the safest place on the road to ride, how to maneuver your bike effectively, communicate with other road users, handle riding at night and in the rain, and more. You’ll gain the skills and confidence you need to enjoy riding in the city!
Bike Maintenance Workshop (2 hours) This fun, interactive workshop takes the mystery out of the bicycle. Participants bring their bikes and we show them how to do a basic inspection, clean and oil their bike, check their brakes and gears, and a few other tricks to make their riding experience more enjoyable. We cover fixing the dreaded flat tire (not really such a big deal after all!), and help participants decide when it's a good idea to take their bike to the shop.
NEW! Family Bike Skills (4.5 hours)
This fun, family orientated course is for parents who would like to be more comfortable riding on city streets with their children. The goal is to help you as a parent feel more secure riding with your children, and ensuring that they learn the right skills from the beginning. Through classroom and on-road training you and your kids can learn about the basics of safe road riding, gain confidence with bike handling skills, and about the importance of respecting the rules of the road!
NEW! Kids Learn to Ride Lessons
Keen to get your child on a bike but unsure about how to best go about teaching them? The goal of this private course is to teach children how to ride for the first time while at the same time teaching a parent how to continue nurturing the cycling skills of their child! Your child will be taken through the basics of balance, steering, and pedaling in a traffic-free space until they are able to ride on their own.
Adult Learn to Ride Lessons One-on-one lessons to learn to ride a bicycle as an adult in a fun and supportive environment.
Can Bike II (2 days)
For more experienced cyclists who would like to take their skills and safety training to the next level, or for people who use their bike in a professional capacity, we are now offering CAN-BIKE 2 training. CAN-BIKE 2 is Canada’s only nationally recognized safe cycling certification for people who need to ride their bike to perform work duties. We also offer Can Bike II privately to businesses wanted train employees to conduct their job by bicycle. |
